Trust Me

Trust-FallHave you ever done that trust exercise where you stand tall and without moving your feet you fall into the arms of the person behind you, hoping that they are strong enough to catch you and won’t just let you fall and bust your butt on the ground?  Growing up that was a common game we would play.  I can remember standing behind my friends saying go ahead….fall back…..TRUST ME!!

Trust is the belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective…..the more you know about someone the more you can begin to trust them.  You learn about the type of person they are.

Over the years I have come to realize that the reason we don’t have faith in God is because we don’t even trust God.  But how can you trust someone that you hardly even know?  How can you trust someone that you barely talk to?

You can’t have FAITH in God without first having TRUST in God.  Instead of asking God for a little more faith, learn to trust Him.  Your mustard seed faith means nothing if you don’t believe that God is able to do whatsoever you ask.  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Prov 3:5-6)

There is a saying, A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because its trust is not in the branch………who is your trust in?
